It is never a waste of time to get back to basics, to strip the complexities and fill in the gaps. September is a good time to do just that. We are heading into the final quarter of 2010. The last three months of the year are traditionally the months that make or break most business entities. Fall is the time to reap the harvest. The coming winter is the time to prepare for what lies ahead. We cannot fortell the future, but we can be astute enough to learn from the past. Just what are the basics? When you work on the Internet using it as your primary base of operation there are differences from real world business. There is a technology to master aside from general business practices. Finding and working within a niche can present challenges and opportunities with less risk than a traditional business. You can spend hours, months and yes years spinning your wheels if the basics are not established and well within your grasp of what to do and exactly how to do it. Set Aside the Time or It Won't Happen Get out your calendar to set aside the time for the classes and conferences you need to fill in the gaps in your learning process. Unless you plan for success and set aside the time for yourself, it just isn't going to happen by itself. Check out the calendar for the month so you are prepared to be in the conferences that will most help you. |
